Promti or Webflow: one page in 3D, made for you, or a platform to build on

Webflow is a visual website builder with its own CMS, ecommerce and hosting. You lay out pages on its canvas — from scratch, from a template or from a prompt to Webflow AI — animate them with its interactions, and pay a Site plan for each site, by the month or by the year.

Promti takes another road. Each kit is an immersive 3D site already built for one kind of business — a product, a place, an app or a studio — and a wizard makes it yours: you type, the site updates beside you, you pay once and you take away the files, ready for any host.

Put simply: Webflow is where you build and run a site of any size for as long as you subscribe; Promti is a single 3D page, finished for you, that stays yours after the download.

What you getAn immersive 3D site made for one kind of business — a product, a place, an app or a studio. You fill it in; the design is done.A visual builder with a CMS, ecommerce and hosting. You design the site on its canvas, from scratch, a template or a prompt to Webflow AI.
Hosting and domainAny host that serves files will do; the guide uses Cloudflare’s free plan. Your domain, roughly €10–15 a year, connects with its own guide.Webflow hosts it. A domain you own needs a paid Site plan; the free Starter plan publishes to a webflow.io address with a “Made in Webflow” badge.
Changing it laterYour answers wait in the browser where you made the site: open the wizard there, adjust, download the new version and replace the old files. Editing the HTML by hand works too.Edit and republish whenever you want. The owner’s seat is included; each extra person editing content is a Limited seat at $15 a month billed yearly.
Pages, CMS and blogEverything sits on one page, with the legal notice and an error page alongside. There’s no CMS or blog to post to.Basic: up to 300 static pages, without a CMS. Premium adds the CMS: 20,000 items in 40 collections, for blog posts and the like.
SellingEach kit’s buttons go where you already take money or bookings — Stripe, your shop, your booking system, an app store. The site itself holds no cart or stock.Separate ecommerce plans, from $29 a month billed yearly with a 2% transaction fee: products, cart, checkout and orders.
Motion and 3DThe 3D belongs to the kit and is written in code: a scene the camera moves through as the page scrolls. You don’t animate anything.Interactions with GSAP: scroll-triggered and timed animations on a timeline, without code. A native Spline element brings in 3D scenes made in Spline.
The filesYou download the whole site as a zip — HTML, CSS, JS, your pictures, the fonts — with no link back to Promti. The licence covers your business, not resale.Code export needs a paid Workspace plan (Core: $19 a month billed yearly). CMS content, ecommerce, other languages, site search and form handling aren’t exported.
If you stop payingNothing lapses, because nothing is billed after the purchase: the files stay online while your host serves them.Cancelling removes your custom domains and unpublishes the site, webflow.io address included, at the end of the billing period.
LanguagesA site speaks a single language: English or Spanish.Webflow Localize, an add-on for paid Site plans: from $9 a month per locale billed yearly, with AI translation.

Promti fits when…

  • Your business fits on one page — one product, one place, one app or one portfolio — ending in a single clear button.
  • You want 3D with the scene and the camera already made, not a timeline to learn.
  • A single payment suits you better than a plan that renews every month or every year.
  • You want plain files that any host can serve, with no platform to keep paying.
  • You want to try your own words in the finished design before any money changes hands.

Webflow fits when…

  • You need a real online shop, with products, a cart, checkout and orders: Webflow’s ecommerce plans do that.
  • You’re planning a blog or a large site — up to 20,000 CMS items on Premium.
  • A team will build and edit together, with separate seats for designers and for content editors.
  • You want to design every layout and every animation yourself, down to the timing on a timeline.
  • The site needs other languages, translated and managed in one place with Webflow Localize.

What each costs

With Promti, the only fixed cost is €500, once. Cloudflare’s free plan hosts the files for nothing and a domain is roughly €10–15 a year. Year one: €500 and the domain. By year three: the same €500, plus about €30–45 in domain renewals.

Webflow, in US dollars before tax, as its pricing page shows them: a site on your own domain needs at least Basic — $15 a month billed yearly ($180 a year) or $25 billed monthly ($300 a year). Over three years: $540 or $900. With the CMS for a blog, Premium is $25 or $39 a month: $300 or $468 a year, $900 or $1,404 over three. A domain you own comes on top, and exporting the code takes a paid Workspace plan as well, from $19 a month billed yearly.

Cancelling early doesn’t shorten the bill: Webflow’s FAQ says you still pay the rest of the term you signed up for, and its help centre calls purchases non-refundable.

Questions

Can I export a Webflow site and host it myself?
Yes, on a paid Workspace plan — Core starts at $19 a month billed yearly. You get the HTML, CSS, JavaScript and images, and no attribution is required. Webflow’s help centre lists what doesn’t come along: CMS content, ecommerce, other languages, site search, password protection and form handling, so forms need a third-party service. A Promti site is plain files from the start; where a kit has a form, it sends through Web3Forms.
What happens to a Webflow site if I stop paying?
When you cancel the Site plan, Webflow removes your custom domains at the end of the billing period and unpublishes the site, from its webflow.io address too. Promti has no subscription to cancel, so there’s no date on which anything switches off.
Does Webflow do 3D?
Yes, through Spline: you design the scene in Spline, paste its link into Webflow’s Spline element, and animate objects, cameras and lights with its interactions. A Promti kit’s 3D is written in code for that kit, with the camera path and the light already set; you bring the content, not the scene.
Can I sell with a Promti site?
Simply, yes: its buttons open a Stripe payment link, your shop or your booking page, and the guides walk you through making each one. There’s no cart, no stock and no checkout inside the site. For a catalogue with a cart, Webflow’s ecommerce plans are the better tool.
Do I need to design anything?
Not with Promti: the design, the 3D and the motion come with the kit, and the wizard asks for words, colours and, in some kits, pictures or a model. Webflow doesn’t need code either, but the design is yours to make — from a blank canvas, a template or a prompt to Webflow AI.
